Description
The Terminator was an upcoming Boss on R2D. It was heavily implied to be an addition in Version 35 before PlaceRebuilder shelved it, with protests from Zih.
His appearance seems like any other survivor in R2D, except it wields Dual Miniguns, no doubt to massacre survivors with.
Agent's Note - Rewritten
This note was found with several holes atop an oil barrel just outside the White House. It has since been rewritten through conjecture and kept by Alice, an amateur archivist based in what remains of France.
You know, maybe this is what I get. Maybe this is what I get for asking for a raise. Y'know? Because this.. "thing" we've created is something I never imagined coming to fruition, yeah?
It was a cold afternoon. Bricks came crashing into the White House windows while we remained hunkered down in an old bunker. Thing hadn't been used in decades and it was starting to smell, but I digress. In front of me laid codename Terminator in all its metallic glory, miniguns being hoisted up and welded onto the machine's hands as a finishing touch. This was Plan B to eradicate the looters outside and take back our city, but man, we should've come up with a Plan C.
No AI program meant the machine had no idea what it was doing; no doubt in my mind it saw humans and undead as one and the same as it lashed out on the research group working on it. Several agents fired round after round at the beast in hopes of bringing it down, but it was steadfast and resolute in its goal of purging the bunker of any and all being dead and alive.
Finally, one of the secret service managed to submerge the mechanical beast in a vat of acid as another sealed it within using a 20-ton lid. Mechanical whirring and hum-buzz could be heard from within the vat before finally coming to an end.
That was in 2009. As I'm writing this to you, the mechanical beast remains sealed in that old government bunker from years ago, but I fear that it may return one day..
Background Story
When the apocalypse first broke out, the government had no means to combat both an ever-growing horde of undead and angry looters breaching government facilities. So, when the White House was breached by insurgents, the government needed to do everything in their power to prevent the president from being slaughtered. As a result, work began on a special project designated codename Terminator. It was constructed with both offensive and defensive capabilities, its dual-wielded Miniguns capable of scattering crowds and titanium shell proving invulnerable against a hailstorm of bullets and explosions.
However, despite their best efforts, no proper AI could be constructed due to technological restraints at the time which led to it being powered on with an empty mind. An empty mind led to it forging its own directives, resulting in a massacre that decimated the White House staff and led to the President and his team of secret service agents scattering across the nation.
Nobody knows what happened to the mechanical beast that terrorized Washington DC decades ago, and nobody has bothered to check.
