Description
Sunny Seaside is an original map made for R2D Resurrection. It resembles an outpost of some kind in the middle of the ocean.
Appearance
Resembling an outpost, survivors spawn near a helipad with an office containing a supply box to their right and a truss leading to the top of the office building with an ammo station above. As survivors walk forward, they are greeted by a dock to the right and a hole in the floor right up ahead. If they move to the left, they will be greeted by yet another office building containing a supply box, barrels, and a table with notes atop. A bridge outside to the right of the hole in the floor connects the main spawning point to a boarded off gated system of propane tanks carrying an ammo station.
If survivors walk up ahead, they can access two additional locations connected by a dock and a single plank of wood. When passing through this makeshift bridge, survivors can access a watchtower to the right via a steel truss beam which can be useful for sniper classes. Hopping down to the right of this mini-location marks another mini-location comprised of a small hut with three supply boxes placed next to one another, barrels, and two steel tanks with an ammo station propped up against a short wall.
Tips
- High ground equals high survive chance so stays ontop of buildings or towers.
- Do not collide with other players while passing the wood bridge planks since you can easily get pushed off to the water.
- Tanks can also trip you by throwing rocks.
- The rescue appears at pier close of the spawn.
- Use the map barrels to get ontop of unreachable places like the two container tanks.

- Sunny Seaside made a return in R2DA.
- Unlike Campfire Chaos, the Sunny Seaside didn't made a return during R2D's 2014 era.
- The same happened to Train Station.
- Sunny Seaside is the second smallest map from R2D Series.
- The first being Porta Coeli II from R2DA and third being Lay By.
- Sunny Seaside is the first map to appear in a new server when playing R2D Resurrection.
- This can be observed in a still-standing copy of R2D Resurrection uploaded to a throwaway account possibly created by PlaceRebuilder.
