Dead Plaza is a new map made by ExternalCode. Dead Plaza was added in the v49 update along with a consumable item named "ENRGY" and a new trailer for the game.
Location
This new map is a large section of a plaza infested with zombies. It features many shops, restaurants, a mini-cinema and an underground carpark with a blocked entrance.
Game-modes
Currently, there are two game-modes in Dead Plaza.
SRV (SURVIVAL) : Players must survive for 5 minutes under constant zombie attacks to win.
ELI (ELIMINATION) : Kill a total of 100 player-controlled zombies to win. (not AI zombies!)
Easter Eggs and facts
There is a grenade in the cinema's popcorn machine that is unobtainable.
There is a 'Work At a Pizza Place' Pizza Delivery Vehicle in the garage.
It was supposed to have a TMM (The Mad Murderer) game-mode but it was later cancelled due to the overwhelming negative response by the majority of the community. (78% reject)
Survivors may be wiping out the zombies in the plaza for their own survival because no direct escape routes can be found throughout the map. (HENCE THE GAMEMODES SURVIVAL AND ELIMINATION)
this could be considered one of the hardest maps in R2D, due to it is very difficult to find somewhere to camp
this is one of the 4 non-event maps that does not have its own OBJs (the other ones are Portland, platypus, and the port)
