Summary
The Crawler is one of the special infected in R2D. All Crawlers appear to sit idly. The Crawler can be purchased for 20$ and the kill reward is 20$.
Walther's Note - Pristine
This note was found atop a counter in one of the gas stations of New Bloxcoast. It has since been passed along to Daimon, Walther's frenemy, for safekeeping.
Strengthened hind legs combined with their crooked posture allows them to traverse on ground without hindrance from obstacles - seeing as they can crawl right under. It is rumored that many of them come strapped with C4; possibly attacks from insurgents looking to ambush a group of rather wealthy survivors.
My first introduction to one of these beasts came many years ago whilst my crew and I were scavenging for supplies awaiting a privatized rescue. It seemed to leap from beneath the ground and into a storage cart belonging to my mates as it remained there for quite some time. I would be lying to you if I said I did not see it as a castaway looking to stow with us.
Normally I'd allow it, but I decided against it as the jet came crashing down onto the pristine asphalt runway. Approaching the cart with confusion, I was beheld to a gory sight. A figure whose back was most certainly arched came leaping out and onto the face of my mate as it nearly mauled the poor lad to the brink of death. Two gunshots from the service pistol of one of our military escorts and it was deceased. Despite its shockingly low durability, its ability to ambush on the whim and cause disarray amongst a group of seasoned survivors is not to be joked about.
Background Story
Crawlers are the result of military bombings trapping tens of hundreds of civilians indoors. With no other way out, these Humans clawed their way up to the surface until their nails had hardened to the point of beating metal in a durability contest. Combine this with their strengthened hind legs, and you've got yourself a prime Crawler capable of absolutely ravaging anything it sees.
Walkthrough
Crawlers are zombies that gave up on walking and decided that crawling is an easier way to move around. Eating fresh meat from survivors with impressive agility, the survivors have called this the fastest zombie. Their willpower to eat the survivor's brain is so high that they do everything to avoid the bullets by doing zig-zag and bunny-hopping, making it difficult kill this zombie. One of the Crawlers once put a C4 on his back and other Crawlers admired his idea, so it became a popular thing for them; die explosively in the survivor's face. The Crawler is considered the ninja class of the game.

Disadvantages and Advantages
Disadvantages
- Climbing trusses are very difficult.
- Climbing ladders are not impossible, but very difficult.
- Not very resilient to damage.
- Countered by shoves, and any type of knockdown, then killed from a distance.
Advantages
- Difficult to be killed when bunny-hopping and zig-zagging.
- Can explode upon death at the price of 100$.
- Can be used to blow players off the map or out of a Vehicle
- High speed.
- Cheap and much better than a Zombie.
Trivia
- The Crawler is the first, and only, zombie to have a Live Store upgrade, being the C4 upgrade.
- The Crawler is known for kill stealing with the Kamikaze or quick attack.
- It's often good to quick attack the a player then use the Kamikaze.
- There's a rare C4 Crawler that when blown up a white screen occurs. It's commonly known as the Flashbang Crawler. This is most likely a bug.
